Repost from @gmlanham • Today I want to share something and someone that I am immensely proud of! Kelsey and I have been working together since the fall of 2024 and she has never given anything less than 100% in our sessions. At the turn of this year, Kelsey came to me expressing interest in the 500 lb club. For those who are unfamiliar, the necessary bar to surpass is the performance of a cumulative 500lb lift between a deadlift, a squat and a bench press. Kelsey had some background with these particular lifts but they had not been a focal point of our training to date. We started slow and small, hammering the fundamentals and building up the mental and physical adaptations necessary for the safe performance of these single rep maxes. As evidenced above, it’s safe to say that she has absolutely eclipsed that 500 lb total and is well on the way to the next mark at 750 lbs! I can’t give enough praise to Kelsey for her drive, consistency and attention to detail. Beyond excited to see how much more we can squeeze out of these lifts and give 750 a real crack before the end of the year!
